Which apps this policy covers
This Privacy Policy applies to all Android apps published by Hi Volt Apps ("we", "us", "our"), including:
- Body Temperature —
com.hivolt.feverbodytemperature - Blood Pressure —
com.hivoltsample.hypertensiondiary - Blood Sugar —
com.hivolt.bloodsugar
Each of them is called "the App" below. The same policy applies to every one of them: they are built from the same code and handle your data in exactly the same way. This policy explains what the App collects, what it does not collect, and exactly how you can delete your data or ask us to delete it.
Summary in plain words
- The App has no user account and no sign-in.
- The health readings you enter stay on your own phone. We never receive them and we cannot see them.
- We do not sell your data and we do not share your readings with anyone.
- The App shows ads and collects anonymous usage and crash information through Google services. That is the only information that leaves your phone automatically.
- You can delete everything yourself at any time, and you can also send us a deletion request by email. See "Deleting your data" below.
1. Information the App stores on your device only
The App is a personal health diary. The entries you create — your health readings, together with the date and time, any tags or labels, and any notes you type — are saved in a private database inside the App's own storage area on your device.
This information:
- is not uploaded to any server operated by us,
- is not shared by us with any third party,
- is not visible or accessible to us at any time.
We do not run an account system, a login, or a cloud sync service for the App, so we hold no copy of your readings and cannot identify you from them.
Your App settings — such as your unit of measurement, theme, and reminder times — are stored on your device in the same way.
2. Information collected automatically by Google services
The App includes services provided by Google that collect limited technical information from your device. We use them to keep the App free, to fix crashes, and to understand which screens are used.
(a) Google AdMob — advertising
The App displays advertisements supplied by Google AdMob. To deliver and measure ads, AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, device model, operating system version, approximate location derived from the IP address, and your interactions with ads. Depending on your consent choice, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.
(b) Google Analytics for Firebase — usage statistics
Collects an app instance identifier, device model, operating system version, country or region, session length, and the names of screens you open and simple actions you take (for example records or pdf_export_done).
No reading value, no note text and no date you entered is sent. The App is deliberately built so that only fixed, pre-written labels are transmitted: its analytics code accepts no parameter that could carry a reading, a note, or a date.
Analytics collection is switched off when the App starts, and is only switched on after a consent choice that permits it (see section 3).
(c) Firebase Crashlytics — crash reports
If the App crashes, a crash report is sent containing the technical stack trace, device model, operating system version, and App version. The App deliberately keeps your reading values and note text out of its logs and crash reports.
(d) Firebase Remote Config — app configuration
Downloads configuration settings for the App. It transmits an app instance identifier and basic device information in order to receive the correct settings.
These four services are operated by Google. Google's handling of the data is governed by:
- Google Privacy Policy
- How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services
- Firebase Privacy and Security
(e) Where this information is processed — international transfers
The Google services listed above operate globally. This means the technical information described in this section may be transferred to, and maintained on, computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction — including the United States — where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Google applies its own safeguards to these transfers; see the Google Privacy Policy linked above.
We take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Your readings never take part in any of this — they stay on your device and are never transferred to us or to anyone else by the App.
3. Your consent choices for ads and analytics
Where the law requires it — for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland — the App shows a consent form provided by Google's User Messaging Platform before ads and analytics are enabled. Your choice is stored on your device and is passed to the Google services above.
You can also control advertising at the device level at any time, independently of the App:
- Android Settings → Privacy → Ads (on some devices: Settings → Google → Ads), then choose Delete advertising ID or Reset advertising ID, and opt out of ad personalization.
4. Permissions the App uses
- Internet / network state — to load ads and configuration.
- Notifications — only if you turn on reminders. A reminder notification shows a fixed, general message asking you to add a reading. It never contains any of your readings or notes.
- Run at start-up — to restore your reminders after the device restarts.
- Vibrate — for reminder alerts.
The App does not request access to your camera, microphone, precise location, contacts, call logs, SMS, or files on your device.
5. Reports you choose to share (PDF export)
The App can create a PDF report of your readings. This happens only when you ask for it. The PDF is created on your device and then handed to whichever app you select in the Android share menu — for example email, a messaging app, or a cloud drive. From that point it is governed by the privacy practices of the app you chose and of the person you sent it to. We never receive a copy.
6. Android backup
Android's own backup feature may include the App in a backup of your device, stored in your own Google account, so that your data can be restored when you reinstall the App or set up a new device.
- On Android 9 and newer, your readings database is included only when the backup is end-to-end encrypted with your device secret, or when it is a direct device-to-device transfer.
- On Android 8.1 and older, your readings database is included in the backup whenever backup is enabled on the device. Those older Android versions do not support the encryption condition described above.
This backup is created by Android, not by us, and is kept in your Google account. We have no access to it. You can turn backup off or delete an existing backup as described in section 7.3.
Please note: if you delete readings from the App, a backup that was taken before you deleted them may still contain them until that backup is replaced or deleted. Deleting the backup removes it.
7. Deleting your data
You are always in control of your data. Because we hold no account and no copy of your readings, most deletion is done directly by you, on your device, and takes effect immediately. Instructions for every case are below, including how to send us a deletion request by email.
7.1 Delete a single reading
- Open the App and go to your records list (All Records).
- Tap the record you want to remove. It opens in the record screen.
- Tap the delete button and confirm.
The record is permanently removed from the App's database on your device.
7.2 Delete all data the App holds on your device
The App does not have a single "delete everything" button, so use Android's own control, which removes all of it at once:
- Open Android Settings → Apps (or "Apps & notifications").
- Select the App from the list.
- Tap Storage, then Clear storage (on some devices: Clear data).
This permanently deletes all of your readings, notes, settings, and cached data. It cannot be undone. Uninstalling the App also removes this data from your device.
7.3 Delete backups held in your Google account
Clearing data or uninstalling the App does not automatically delete a backup already stored in your Google account. To remove it:
- Open the Google One app, or go to Android Settings → Google → Backup.
- Go to Storage → Device backups (or "Backups").
- Select the device or app backup and choose Delete.
You can also switch backup off entirely from the same screen. This backup lives in your account, so only you can delete it — we cannot do it for you.
7.4 Delete or reset your advertising data
Go to Android Settings → Privacy → Ads (on some devices: Settings → Google → Ads) and choose Delete advertising ID. This stops apps, including ours, from receiving an identifier for advertising. You can manage data that Google holds in your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy.
7.5 Send us a data deletion request
We do not hold your readings, but we can request deletion of the analytics and crash-report data associated with your installation of the App, and we will delete any correspondence you have sent us.
To submit a data deletion request, send an email to pimmyploy109@gmail.com with:
- Subject line:
Data deletion request - The name of the App you are writing about
- What you would like deleted
- Optionally, your Android advertising ID (Settings → Privacy → Ads), your device model, and the approximate date you installed the App — these help us locate the right records
We will acknowledge your request and complete it within 30 days. There is no charge. You do not need an account to make a request.
What we can delete on request: analytics events and crash reports linked to your installation of the App that are held by Google on our behalf, and any support emails or messages you have sent us.
What we cannot delete for you: data stored only on your own device, and backups stored in your own Google account — you remove these yourself using sections 7.1 to 7.3, which is faster and takes effect immediately. We also cannot delete data that Google holds as an independent controller for its own purposes; you can manage that through your Google Account.
7.6 Data retention
We retain no readings at all, because we never receive them. Readings remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App. Analytics and crash-report data are retained by Google on our behalf for the retention period configured in our Firebase settings, after which they are deleted automatically. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to answer you, and are deleted on request.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Because the App has no account, the fastest way to exercise most of these rights is directly on your device using section 7. For anything else, email us at pimmyploy109@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9. Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, contact us at pimmyploy109@gmail.com and we will delete it.
10. Security
Your readings are stored in the App's private storage area, which Android protects with its application sandbox and with your device lock screen. Data sent to Google's services travels over encrypted connections. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Links to other websites and third-party content
The App, and the advertisements shown inside it, may contain links to websites and services that are not operated by us — for example an advertiser's website, the Google Play Store, or this privacy policy page opened in your browser. If you follow such a link, you will be directed to that third party's site.
We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party sites or services.
12. Legal disclosures and business transfers
As explained in sections 1 and 2, we hold very little information about you and no copy of your readings. Where we do hold information — for example an email you have sent us — we may disclose it in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:
- comply with a legal obligation;
- respond to a valid request by a public authority, such as a court or a government agency;
- protect and defend our rights or property;
- prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the App;
- protect the personal safety of users of the App or of the public;
- protect against legal liability.
Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, any information we hold may be transferred. We will provide notice on this page before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy. This does not affect the readings stored on your own device, which we never receive and cannot transfer.
13. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be highlighted here. Please review this page from time to time.
